Lucky Lion, who took the scalp of Noble Mission when he won at Group 1 level, will commence his stallion career at Gestut Graditz in Germany next year.

The five-year-old son of High Chaparral was bred by Stall Parthenaue out of the Listed-winning Big Shuffle mare Lips Arrow and was bought by trainer Andreas Lowe at the BBAG Yearling Sale for €80,000.

Lucky Lion carried the silks of the Mosca family's Gestut Winterhauch and excelled at three, when he won the Group 3 Dr Busch Memorial, the Group 2 German 2,000 Guineas and chased home Sea The Moon when second in the German Derby.
