Godolphin puts Twin Hills Stud up for sale

A stud that comprises part of the Godolphin breeding operation in Australia is going back on the market eight years after it was bought by Sheikh Mohammed.

Inglis Rural Property has been appointed to handle the sale of the 2,500-acre Twin Hills Stud Farm in Cootamundra, southern New South Wales, which formed part of Sheikh Mohammed's purchase of the Ingham family's Woodlands racing and breeding empire for a reported A$500 million in 2008.

Henry Plumptre, Godolphin's managing director in Australia, said the sale did not signal a downsizing of the operation in Australia, but rather a consolidation.
