Four Frankel yearlings on offer at the Cape Premier Yearling Sale
Two of the quartet are out of Fastnet Rock mares Daffodil and Little Fastnet
Four southern hemisphere-bred yearlings by flying first-season sire Frankel will be offered at the Cape Premier Yearling Sale in South Africa taking place on January 21-22.
All four yearlings are offered by Klawervlei Stud, acting as agent.
The first yearling (Lot 27) is a filly out of the unraced Fastnet Rock mare Daffodil, who is in turn out of the Blandford Stakes runner-up Roman Empress, a sister to Derby runner-up The Great Gatsby and Racing Post Trophy third Magritte.
The second yearling (64) is a colt out of the Holy Roman Emperor mare Fly To The Moon who won twice and placed third in a Listed race at the Curragh. She is a sister the the Group-placed Juliet Capulet and is out of dual Oaks runner-up Royal Ballerina.
The third (114) is a filly also out of a Fastnet Rock mare, Little Fastnet. She finished third at two, and is a half-sister to Coolmore sire Requinto out of champion two-year-old filly Damson, from the family of Arcano.
The last of the quartet (198) is a filly out of Supposing, a winning mare by Invincible Spirit. She is a half-sister to the Listed winner Cameron Highland and Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes runner-up Field Of Miracles.
Frankel recorded his first top-level winner with Soul Stirring's victory in the Grade 1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies in Japan on Sunday.
He is also responsible for other stakes winners including Fair Eva, Frankuus, Queen Kindly and Toulifaut.
He stands at Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket, where he has covered select books of mares to southern-hemisphere time in the summer.
