War Command, the champion two-year-old colt in Europe in 2013, will see his first runners line up on Monday, when his gelded son Micro Latency races over five furlongs at Navan (4.25).

Micro Latency, the only gelding in the five-runner Plus 10 race at Navan, was bred by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar out of the Speightstown mare Pearl Magic, and fetched 42,000gns both times when he was sold as a foal and a yearling.

Trained by Darren Bunyan, he looks to hold an outside chance and will be ridden by Leigh Roche.

Final thought

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame launched an innovative new project called Foal Patrol this year, a one-of-a-kind collection of live web cameras where people can view real-time streams of several in-foal mares during their pregnancy through to the actual foaling. The live camera feeds are available from 7am to 5pm EST daily with extended hours as the expected foaling date approaches.

The live cameras can be accessed for free by visiting www.foalpatrol.com.
