Erupt leads home a one-two for Dubawi
Hot spell for Darley's flagship sire continues
Darley flagship sire Dubawi capped an outstanding weekend by supplying the first two home in the Grade 1 Canadian International at Woodbine on Sunday.
French challenger Erupt, whose last victory came when he won the Grand Prix de Paris in July 2015, was an impressive one-length winner from the Queen's colt Dartmouth, winner of the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.
That result continued a hot spell for Dubawi, with Sheikhzayedroad winning the Long Distance Cup and Journey landing the Fillies & Mares Stakes on Qipco British Champions day at Ascot on Saturday, and Intimation and Rose De Pierre finishing first and second in the Listed Garnet Stakes at Naas earlier on Sunday.
