December 31 deadline for Plus 10 early bird discount
Scheme has paid out more than £11m worth of bonuses since 2015
Trainers and owners of yearlings registered for the Plus 10 bonus scheme are being reminded to finalise registration before the end of the year in order to benefit from an early bird discount rate.
Up until December 31, the cost of the final owner registration is £300/€375. Between January 1 and February 28, 2018, the cost is £350/€437.50 per horse.
The owner registration fee is required to be paid to qualify a horse to win an additional £10,000 if successful in a race carrying a Plus 10 bonus.
Sarah Davey of Middleham Park Racing said: “Our syndicates have won 12 £10,000 bonuses to date and we and our owners are thrilled to have won so many.
“We continue to support the scheme and have bought 12 Plus 10 registered yearlings at the sales, made sure we have completed the final registration stage and will start planning for them to run in the appropriate races next year.
“It was an extra special day when Ventura Royal won her bonus at Redcar this year as she was our 900th winner. Hopefully our success will continue in 2018.”
The bonus scheme, which operates across Britain and Ireland, has paid out more than £11 million worth of bonuses since March 2015.
