Dariyan: Aga Khan homebred is by Shamardal
Dariyan, winner of this year's Prix Ganay, will take up stallion duties at the Aga Khan's Haras de Bonneval in France for the 2017 breeding season.
An Aga Khan homebred, the four-year-old son of Shamardal is the first foal out of the Group 1-winning Selkirk mare Daryakana and is a half-brother to the Listed winner Darabad.
Trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre, he made his debut at Longchamp over 1m2f as a three-year-old where he finished a short-neck second behind Vision Des Aigles.
