Eaton Square, the 360,000gns top lot at this year's Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale, had to overcome clear signs of greenness but eventually got up to make a winning debut in the 6f maiden at Nottingham.

Carrying the colours of the Coolmore partners and trained by John Gosden, Eaton Square was on and off the bridle through the 6f contest but made headway from the rear to challenge entering the final furlong.

Having been coaxed into the lead inside the final 50 yards, he eventually won with plenty more in hand than the bare margin of a neck suggests.
