Bye Bye Baby, a multiple Classic entry whose page litter is littered with the names of top-class turf performers, will be tested in the Listed Salsabil Stakes at Navan on Sunday.

Entered in the 1,000 Guineas and Oaks on both sides of the Irish Sea, Bye Bye Baby is a daughter of Galileo and the Oaks second Remember When, a concubine for Galileo who has produced four stakes winners from as many runners headed by the Nassau Stakes runner-up Wedding Vow.

Remember When is by Danehill Dancer out of the blue hen Lagrion - dam of such talents as Cheveley Park Stakes scorer Queen's Logic, who started a three-generational sequence of Lowther Stakes winners; surprise 1,000 Guineas winner Homecoming Queen and six-time Group 1 winner Dylan Thomas.

Bye Bye Baby is bred on the same Galileo-Danehill Dancer cross as Alice Springs, Minding and The Gurkha, and her other Listed win came in the Staffordstown Stud Stakes at Navan as a juvenile.

Final thought

While it is still early doors, Bungle Inthejungle is the only first-season sire in Europe to have notched up three winners in Europe after the Stan Moore-trained Nakakande landed the Prix du Tertre maiden over 1100m at Nantes on Sunday.

Bred out of the Oratorio mare Tallawalla, Nakakande was unsold for €1,400 as a foal and €1,000 as a yearling, but rewarded his new connections by landing the €9,000 first-place prize-money.

Perhaps any of Battle Of Marengo, Gale Force Ten or either of the Al Shaqab pair Olympic Glory or Toronado, will be the next off the mark as they are all represented in the opener at Navan.
