Beauty Parlour set to be highlight as famous operation disperses
Prestigious lots will come under the hammer at Goffs this year
Goffs has been appointed to handle a dispersal of Wildenstein Stables Ltd, as part of the world-famous racing and breeding operation founded by art dealer Daniel Wildenstein and continued by his son Alec is being wound down.
The dispersal does not mean the exit of the Wildenstein name from racing, though, as Anthony Stroud, who represents the wing of the family that races as Ballymore Thoroughbred Ltd, which campaigned 1,000 Guineas winner Miss France, said yesterday: "We are carrying on and can hopefully maintain the family tradition in racing."
A draft of 110 horses from Wildenstein Stables Ltd will go through the ring during the Goffs Orby and November sales, comprising 27 mares, 20 foals, 19 yearlings and 44 horses in training, with the dispersal being conducted by The Castlebridge Consignment.
