Darley shuttle stallion Sepoy was represented by a first stakes winner on Friday with Baileys Showgirl running out a two–length winner of the 7f Prix Roland de Chambure at Chantilly in the hands of Ioritz Mendizabal.

Trained by Mark Johnston for owner G R Bailey Ltd, the juvenile filly broke her maiden over 6f at Hamilton in June and is one of three European winners sired by Sepoy to date, joining Newmarket scorers Kilmah and Dabyah.

Offered by her breeder Ecurie Des Monceaux at last year's Arqana October Yearlings Sale, Baileys Showgirl was purchased by Johnston for €22,000.

Out of the triple-winning miler Tanguista, a daughter of War Chant, she is a half–sister to three winners including the Grand Slam filly Tribune who landed the 2012 Listed Prix Ronde de Nuit at Deauville.
