Ayr winner Clem Fandango gives Elzaam first stakes scorer
Speedy filly cost just ?11,000
FIRST-SEASON SIRE Elzaam supplied his first stakes winner on Friday as his juvenile daughter Clem Fandango ran out a ready winner of the Listed Harry Rosebery Stakes at Ayr.
Trained by Keith Dalgleish and carrying the familiar colours of Middleham Park Racing, Clem Fandango tracked the leaders before hitting the front approaching the final furlong and running on strongly to win by three and three quarter lengths.
Bred by John Raw, the filly is out of the unplaced Coronado's Quest mare Question, which makes her a half-sister to Happy Sun Percy, a 6½f winner in France.
