Atletico Madrid and France striker Antoine Griezmann will be hoping Princesa can find the back of the net - or hit the finish line in front - when the Siyouni filly makes her debut in his black and pink silks in the 5f juvenile maiden at Lyon Parilly on Thursday.

Griezmann, who boasts 5.13 million Twitter followers, was a welcome addition to the French owner ranks last year and has previously enjoyed success as an owner with Dream Ahead's son Tornibush, who won at Marseille Borely in November.

Trained by Philippe Decouz and to be ridden by Franck Blondel, Princesa represents the same connections as Tornibush.

Bred by Gerard Rollain, the filly is a half-sister to six winners including the Group 3 scorer Don't Hurry Me and Listed winner Bernay, out of an unraced half-sister to US Grade 2 winner Gold And Steel.

She was purchased for €80,000 from Haras des Capucines at last year's Arqana October Yearling Sale.

With most of her family having excelled over further than a mile, she could be given most to do by On A Session, a colt by freshman sire Noble Mission who is trained by Matthieu Palussiere and will be ridden by Antoine Hamelin, who teamed up successfully with last year's Albany Stakes heroine Different League.

Regardless of whether Griezmann makes it to the races on Wednesday, he'll be in Lyon in a week's time as Atletico Madrid face Marseille in the Europa League final.
