Sea The Stars selected as first covering sire for Aga Khan's Ervedya

Sea The Stars has been chosen as the first covering sire for the Aga Khan's three-time Group 1 heroine Ervedya.

A five-year-old daughter of Siyouni, Ervedya won the Prix de Cabourg and finished third in the Prix Morny and second in the Prix Marcel Boussac at two. She improved at three to win the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches, Coronation Stakes – in which she took the scalp of Found – and Prix du Moulin.

Last year at four she finished third in the Prix Jacques le Marois and filled the same position behind Alice Springs in the Sun Chariot Stakes.

She is retired with seven victories from 14 starts, having finished out of the first three on only one occasion.

Sea The Stars, who stands at the Aga Khan's Gilltown Stud in County Kildare, will also cover brilliant racemare Zarkava, unbeaten in seven races including the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and dam of this month's impressive Group 3 Dubai Millennium Stakes winner Zarak.

Zarkava is due to foal to Siyouni in late March.

Last year's dual Derby winner Harzand, who is starting his stallion career alongside his sire Sea The Stars at Gilltown Stud, is being supported with some of the cream of the Aga's broodmare band.

Zarkava's dam Zarkasha, in foal to Charm Spirit, as well as Rosawa, the dam of Prix Marcel Boussac winner Rosanara, will feature among Harzand's first book.

The Aga Khan Studs is also launching the stallion career of Dariyan at Haras de Bonneval in Normandy this year. The Group 1-winning son of Shamardal will cover Visorama, the dam of dual Prix Royal-Oak winner Vazirabad.

Bonneval kingpin Siyouni – whose fee has been raised to €45,000 for 2017 – will cover Prix de l'Opera winner Dalkala (in foal to Dansili); Valima, the dam of Prix de Diane winner Valyra; Prix Saint-Alary winner Vazira (in foal to Dansili); and Zerkaza, a daughter of Dalakhani and Zarkava (in foal to Sea The Stars).

Sichilla, a Listed-winning daughter of Danehill who has produced Group 1 winners Siyouni and Siyouma, will return to Siyouni's sire Pivotal.

Sayana, a Listed-winning Galileo half-sister to Siyouni, has had Dubawi appointed as her first cover.

Frankel has attracted two notable Aga Khan Studs mares in 2017 – Tanaza, a daughter of Dubawi who struck twice at Group 3 level and beat Minding and Alice Springs to win races at two; and Zarshana, a Group 3-winning half-sister to Zarkava by Sea The Stars. Zarshana is in foal to Dubawi.

Dubai Sheema Classic winner Dolniya will visit Invincible Spirit after delivering her first foal, a bay colt by Dubawi, this month.

Elva, the dam of Ervedya, will visit Dark Angel after producing a foal by Pivotal.

Harasiya, a Group 1-placed Pivotal half-sister to Harzand, will visit Invincible Spirit having produced a grey filly by Dark Angel this month.

Mandesha – a triple Group 1 winner in the Prix d'Astarte, Prix Vermeille and Prix de l'Opera – is in foal to Siyouni and will be covered by Le Havre.

Prix Saint-Alary winner Sagawara will visit Mastercraftsman after delivering a Nathaniel foal.

Shareta, successful in the Yorkshire Oaks and Prix Vermeille and runner-up in the Arc, has a date with Lope De Vega after giving birth to a foal by Siyouni.

Tazkara, the dam of recent South African Group 1 winner Whisky Baron, is booked into Iffraaj and is in foal to Muhaarar.
