The first of Hurricane Fly's 22 Grade 1 triumphs came in the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse in 2008 so it is apt that the champion's three-parts brother Arturus makes his hurdling debut at the meeting where Hurricane Fly came to prominence.

The six-year-old son of Camelot, who takes to the track in the second division of the St Peter's Dunboyne Maiden Hurdle (1.36) on Saturday, represents the same owner and trainer combination of John Turner and Paul Hennessy as last season's Coral Cup winner Heaven Help Us.

Bred by Drumlin Bloodstock, Arturus was sold by the Motherway family's Yellowford Farm to Highflyer Bloodstock for €230,000 at the 2018 Goffs Land Rover Sale and is the penultimate foal out of Scandisk, who was a winner at two in Italy. She is a daughter of Kenmare out of the Lord Gayle mare Yankee Lady, while her last foal, a three-year-old gelding by Walk In The Park, made €200,000 to Michael Shefflin and Paul Holden at the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale earlier this year.

As well as the dual champion hurdle hero, Arturus is also a half-brother to Mucho Macabi by Exceed And Excel who is the dam of Racing Post Punchestown Champion Bumper winner Tornado Flyer.

Arturus was initially trained by Nicky Henderson, for whom he ran once in a bumper at Ascot before his return to Ireland and the Gowran yard of Paul Hennessy. He made his Irish debut in a Limerick bumper last month and his now set to begin his hurdling career at the track where his legendary three-parts brother won two of his Grade 1 trophies.

He will take on a field of 15 that includes a relation to another of Willie Mullins' Champion Hurdle winners in Annie Power. ActionStation from the first crop of Whytemount Stud's Valirann makes his track debut for Prunella Dobbs and is out of Manuels Sister, a Lend A Hand full-sister to Grade 3 handicap chase winner Head Waiter and half-sister to five-timesGrade 1 winner Annie Power. Bred by Ronnie O'Neill, he was sold as a foal for €21,000 to T Finn at the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale.

Also making his debut in the same contest is Deja Rouge, a four-year-old son of No Risk At All who made €130,000 at last year's Goffs Land Rover Sale when purchased by Aidan O'Ryan and Gordon Elliott for KTDA Racing. The chestnut was sold by Norman Williamson's Oak Tree Farm and is out of Roselia Rouge, a Bonbon Rose half-sister to the Listed Prix Finot winner Red Name by No Risk At All's half-brother Nickname.

Grangee, a Grade 2 and Grade 3 winner in bumpers last term for Willie Mullins and Syndicates.Racing, makes her hurdling debut in the same Fairyhouse contest.

In the concluding bumper (3.21) Elliott also unleashes a well-bred point-to-point winner for Colin Bowe in Bravo Team. The five-year-old son of Imperial Monarch is a half-brother to hurdles winner Howth Summit by Stowaway and out of Rapid Heartbeat by Old Vic. She is closely related to another horse to have been a star of this Fairyhouse meeting in the past; Voler La Vedette, the King's Theatre mare who won the Grade 1 Hatton's Grace Hurdle in 2011.

Making his debut for Willie Mullins in that same race is The Nice Guy, a six-year-old Fame And Glory gelding bred by Con O'Keeffe. He is the first foal out of Kilbarry Beauty, a Saffron Walden close relation to Ballymore Novices' Hurdle winner Massini's Maguire and was bought for €33,000 by the Hit The Diff Syndicate as a foal at the 2015 Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale.
