Group-class siblings among the 781 offerings at Arqana October Sale
Arqana has unveiled a total of 781 lots in the October Yearling Sale catalogue after a period of success for the auction.
The sale, which takes place between October 17 and 21, produced four Group winners last weekend through Bran in the Turf Sprint Stakes and Avenue De France in the John C Mabee Stakes on one side of the Atlantic, and Jadoomi in the Boomerang Stakes and Iresine in the Prix Foy on the other.
They follow on from the exploits by the likes of Grand Glory, Wed, Skazino and Claymore.
Among those to note are the half-brother by Mehmas to Prix Marcel Boussac winner Tiger Tanaka (lot 42) from Haras d’Etreham; Haras de l’Hotellerie's half-brother by Waldgeist to Santa Anita Derby winner Taiba (51); Haras de Colleville's a daughter of Le Havre out of Group winner Restiadargent from a smart family (88); and a full-brother to French Guineas winner Dream And Do from Haras du Logis (157).
Lot 227, a half-sister by Wootton Bassett to Lope Y Fernandez and Dark Vision from Ecurie des Monceaux, is sure to be a later highlight.
All the yearlings in the October Sale are eligible for the Arqana Series of races for two-year-olds at Deauville and Longchamp.
