Group 1 winner Princess Zoe added to Tattersalls December Mares Sale
The enormously popular Group 1 winner Princess Zoe has been added as a wildcard entry to the Tattersalls December Mares Sale and will sell as lot 1924A on Tuesday November 29.
She is the latest top performer to be catalogued in the sale, which is headlined by the new Sceptre Sessions and includes the likes of Alcohol Free, Saffron Beach, Winter Power, La Petite Coco, Pearls Galore and the dam of the Derby winner Desert Crown, Desert Berry.
German bred by Gestut Hony-Hof and trained by Tony Mullins for Patrick Kehoe and Philomena Crampton, Princess Zoe recorded a remarkable five-race winning sequence in 2020 culminating in a brilliant victory in the Prix du Cadran.
She showed characteristic toughness to claim this year’s Group 3 Sagaro Stakes at Ascot from dual Group 2 winner Quickthorn and finished a brave second behind Subjectivist in the 2021 Gold Cup.
Princess Zoe is by smart two-year-old and dual Group 1 winner Jukebox Jury and is a half-sister to Derby runner-up Palace Prince, a prolific winner of six Group and Listed races and placed in a further six. They are out of the Tiger Hill mare Palace Princess, a half-sister to three Group winners from the family of German Oaks winner Padang.
