The catalogue has been released for the breeding stock sale at Arqana in December.

Once more this year, graduates of the sale have shone at the highest level, and on racecourses all over the world. Of the foals that passed through the ring during previous editions, Native Trail, surely set to be crowned European champion two-year-old, has won the Dewhurst Stakes and National Stakes this season.

In France, Coeursamba landed the French 1,000 Guineas, followed by Zellie in the Prix Marcel Boussac and Rougir in the Prix de l'Opéra.

Tribhuvan won the United Nations Stakes on the other side of the Atlantic, while Alenquer, Atomic Jones and Real Appeal added Group 2 wins to their race records.

The offspring of mares purchased at the Vente d'Elevage have also shown themselves at the highest level. An exceptional 13 of them have won at Group level this season, led by Alcohol Free, who following her victory in the Cheveley Park Stakes last year added two further Group 1 wins to her record this season. Her dam Plying was bought by BBA Ireland from Godolphin in 2013.

Other Group 1 winners include Romantic Proposal, Trueshan and 2020 Breeders’ Cup winner Aunt Pearl.

This year, the Vente d'Elevage will see 1,012 mares, fillies and foals go under the hammer.

The first part of the catalogue contains 240 lots, set to go through the ring on Saturday, December 4, from 10am local time (9am GMT).

Grand Glory has been catalogued as lot 192. Offered from Haras de Castillon, she was a winner at two, but the Gianluca Bietolini-trained mare went on to bigger and better things, taking the Prix Jean Romanet as well as finishing third in the Prix de Diane. Free of Sadler’s Wells blood, the daughter of Olympic Glory hails from the maternal family of Lady Rebecca. She is due to run in the Japan Cup before selling in Deauville.

A Stakes winner and runner-up in the French 1,000 Guineas, Speak Of The Devil will be offered by Sumbe as lot 172. A winner of her only start at two, she finished an unlucky nose second in the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches to Dream And Do and also took third in the Prix Rothschild.

More than a quarter of mares offered have won black type and/or have already produced at least one black-type horse.

A total of 212 siblings or half-siblings to Group winners, including 57 sisters/half-sisters to Group 1 winners are catalogued.

Drafts of particular note are those from Haras de Grandcamp, Ecurie des Monceaux, Wertheimer & Frère, Gestüt Ammerland, Ronald Rauscher, the Aga Khan Studs, Haras d’Ombreville, Haras d’Etreham and Gestüt Görlsdorf, while Godolphin, Baroda Stud and Andreas Suborics will also present some of the choicest lots.

A total of 290 foals will go under the hammer during the four days by established sires such as Adlerflug, Dark Angel, Frankel, Kingman, Kodiac, Le Havre, Lope De Vega, Mehmas, Night Of Thunder, Sea The Moon, Sea The Stars, Siyouni and Wootton Bassett, as well as by young sires including Almanzor, Blue Point, Calyx, City Of Light, Waldgeist, Zarak and Zelzal.

Selling on the Sunday, December 5, also begins at 10am local time, while the sessions on the Monday and Tuesday start at 11am.

The catalogue can be viewed online.
