Golden Horn's fine spell with his two-year-olds continued when the John Gosden-trained Evania led home a one-two for her Dalham Hall-based sire and the champion trainer at Lingfield on Tuesday.

Owned and bred by the G B Partnership, Evania proved a ready winner of what looked an interesting novice contest over a mile and a quarter.

The two-year-old is the 11th foal out of Pretty Polly winner Hanami and is a half-sister to eight winners, including the stakes-placed trio of Regent Street, Khareef and Holly Polly.

Hanami herself is a sister to Listed winner Soho Rose and a half-sibling to Dubai Rose, a dual Listed scorer and the dam of dual Prix de Royallieu victress and Prix Vermeille third The Juliet Rose.

Hanami gave birth to another filly by the Derby and Arc hero Golden Horn this year, and visited the stallion again this term.

Runner-up Taslima, who races in the familiar colours of Nurlan Bizakov, is another well-bred sort for her sire. The eighth foal out of the Group 3-winning Sadler's Wells mare Tamarind, she is a close relation to Tauteke, second behind the subsequent Oaks heroine Anapurna in last year's Lingfield Oaks Trial, and Tansholpan, third behind Enable in the 2017 Cheshire Oaks.

Tamarind returned to Darley's sire this year, while Tauteke was covered by Iffraaj last season.

Golden Horn - who will stand for a fee of £20,000 in 2021 - also had another highly promising juvenile winner this week when the Roger Varian-trained Sammarr struck in the mile fillies' novice at the track on Monday.

Owned by Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, Sammarr is the second foal out of the unraced Halling mare Ta Ammol and hails from the family of dual Group 1 victress Sajjhaa.
