Full-brother to Ten Sovereigns among quality Arqana Breeze-Up catalogue
The sale takes place from May 12-13 in Deauville
The catalogue for Arqana's Breeze-Up Sale has been released, with 145 horses set to feature including those by leading sires Dark Angel, Invincible Spirit, Kingman, Lope De Vega, Mehmas and Sea The Stars.
The breeze, which takes place at Deauville racecourse on Thursday, May 12 at midday, before the lots go through the ring the following day from 2pm, also includes horses by first-crop juvenile sires such as Cloth Of Stars, Expert Eye, Harry Angel, Justify, Saxon Warrior and U S Navy Flag.
Among the best-bred lots are Mocklershill's No Nay Never full-brother to champion sprinter Ten Sovereigns (Lot 55); Longways Stables' Invincible Spirit filly out of Group winner Talaayeb (73); and Malcolm Bastard's Kingman half-sister to French Classic heroine Beauty Parlour (101).
Other notables are Church Farm & Horse Park Stud's full-sister to Group winner and Classic-placed Lope Y Fernandez (107); Yeomanstown Stud's Dark Angel full-sister to Fanciful Angel and Mountain Angel (126); and Ecurie de la Frênée's Zarak filly out of stakes winner Indian Breeze and half-sister to Indian Eagle.
Leading graduates from the sale who made their mark last year include Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte winner and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies’ Turf runner-up Malavath and Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational winner Rockemperor.
Among the graduates looking for Classic honours this season are Cash, Chancellery, Mare Nostro, Mascagni, Knight Of Honour, Thunder Roar and Tylos.
