Newmarket's opening Godolphin Under Starters Orders Maiden Fillies' Stakes (1.15) on Friday has been won by the likes of Falmouth Stakes scorer Veracious and Middleton Fillies' Stakes winner Queen Power and this year's line-up is packed full of high-class pedigrees.

Chief among them is perhaps Azaheer, Shadwell's homebred daughter of Dubawi and Aneen, a winning Lawman half-sister to Irish 2,000 Guineas hero and Derrinstown Stud resident Awtaad plus the smart stakes-winning Mehnah.

The John and Thady Gosden-trained filly is the first foal out of Aneen, who was also Listed-placed and ran in the 2017 1,000 Guineas behind Winter.

The William Haggas-trained Amanzoe is another with a Group 1 pedigree, being a full-sister to Racing Post Trophy and Champagne Stakes scorer Rivet and Hong Kong Group 3 winner Booming Delight.

She is also closely related to another black=type winner in Gallinule Stakes victor Packing Tycoon, as well as four further multiple winners.

Chasemore Farm's homebred Echo Chamber is a Postponed half-sister to Prestige Stakes scorer and May Hill Stakes runner-up Boomer and the smart stakes-placed Uncle Bryn.

She is the fourth foal out of the Grade 2-placed Singspiel mare Wall Of Sound, a half-sister to Group 3 winner The Cheka.

Sir Michael Stoute won this contest with the aforementioned Veracious and is represented by another Cheveley Park Stud homebred in Kirilenko.

The daughter of the operation's exciting first-season sire Ulysses is out of a Group 3-winning granddaughter of the 1,000 Guineas heroine Russian Rhythm, as well as being a half-sister to useful winners Davydenko and Potapova.

Other notable newcomers include Ameynah, a daughter of Exceed And Excel who hails from the family of two Cheveley Park Stakes winners, Queenlet, by Kingman and out of a winning sister to Grade 1 scorer Photo Call who is also a half-sister to Land Force, and Ribbon Rose, a daughter of Time Test from the family of St Leger hero Sans Frontieres.
