Due Diligence the latest freshman sire to post his first winner
Daughter Littledidyouknow makes all the running to score at Southwell

Due Diligence became the latest of this year's freshman sires to put a winner on the board when daughter Littledidyouknow struck on debut at Southwell on Sunday.
Trained by Archie Watson for El Jefe, Littledidyouknow displayed a little greenness throughout the race but she made all the running and despite looking like she might be overtaken two furlongs from home, dug deep to power home to score by one and a quarter lengths from the Richard Spencer-saddled Hollaback Girl (Camacho).

The filly was bred by Rathasker Stud and is the fourth foal but first winner out of the winning Teofilo mare Solfilia, who in turn is out of Suntory, a winning Royal Applause half-sister to Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial scorer and German Group 1 runner-up Fracas.
Suntory's maternal granddam is Juddmonte foundation mare Sorbus, the disqualified Irish Oaks winner who also finished second in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and Irish St Leger and features as the ancestress of Group/Grade 1 winners Wemyss Bight and her son Beat Hollow and the siblings Oasis Dream and Zenda, the last named the dam of Kingman.
This is also the family of last Saturday's impressive Newbury three-year-old maiden winner Fox Chairman and his dual Group 1-winning half-sister La Collina.
Littledidyouknow was a €5,000 Goffs February yearling purchase by Paragon Bloodstock and Goldenfort Bloodstock and was resold to Blandford Bloodstock for €15,000 at the same company's Sportsman's Sale.
Due Diligence was an eight-length Saratoga maiden special weight winner at two for Todd Pletcher and was transferred to Aidan O'Brien at three.
That season he won the Listed Lacken Stakes and ran a cracker in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, finding only Slade Power too good after racing in an unfavoured midfield group and being hampered close home.
Due Diligence holds plenty of appeal on pedigree as he is by Claiborne Stud big hitter War Front, source of 20 Group/Grade 1 winners.
He is a half-brother to Grade 3-placed Ocasta out of the Listed-winning Pulpit mare Bema from the family of last season's 2,000 Guineas runner-up Tip Two Win, dual US Grade 1 winner Both Ends Burning and New Zealand champion Sangster.
Due Diligence stands at Whitsbury Manor Stud at a fee of £4,000 and his other early runners include Good Vibes, who finished second to the highly touted Chasing Dreams on debut at last week's Newmarket Craven meeting.
