There is no more talked about stallion in Australia at the moment than Declaration Of War, who is reminding breeders there that we never truly appreciate what we have until it's gone.

The son of War Front, winner of the Queen Anne Stakes and Juddmonte International for Aidan O'Brien, shuttled to Coolmore's base in New South Wales in 2014 and 2015, leaving 81 southern hemisphere four-year-olds and 66 three-year-olds.

The older generation contains Vow And Declare, who demonstrated admirable battling qualities by rallying after being headed to take the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, while the younger crop yielded Warning, a wide-margin winner of the Victoria Derby earlier in Flemington's carnival meeting on Saturday.
