Darley's Poule d’Essai des Poulains winner Victor Ludorum welcomes first foal
The colt foal was bred by Guilaume Vitse out of Ever Sun Shine
The first foal by Darley's Poule d’Essai des Poulains and Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere winner Victor Ludorum has arrived, a colt out of Ever Sun Shine who was bred by Guilaume Vitse.
A delighted breeder said of his newcomer: "[He's] a strong colt, of good size and muscular like his father. He is a good-looking colt and I am very, very happy with him!"
Based at Haras du Logis, the son of the late, great Shamardal retired to stud after a career that saw him notch those two Group 1 wins for Andre Fabre for five wins overall and prize-money of £670,931.
The six-year-old Godolphin homebred is the fifth foal out of the Listed-placed Kaldounevees mare Antiquities, herself out of a Listed-winning half-sister to Street Cry, a formidable stallion whose leading progeny include the great Winx, Zenyatta and Street Sense.
Victor Ludorum continues to stand for a fee of €15,000.
