Godolphin's top-class sprinter Blue Point is the latest stallion to have his first foal on the ground, a filly foal out of Ringfort Stud's Listed winner Indigo Lady.

The son of Shamardal, who won the Gimcrack Stakes at two, proved to be a consistent older sprinter when notching up back-to-back wins in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot and following up four days later in the 2019 Diamond Jubilee Stakes, defeating subsequent top-level victor Dream Of Dreams in the latter to complete a rare double.

Having retired to Darley's Kildangan Stud after his record-equalling Royal Ascot successes, the seven-year-old covered a debut book of 198 mares, including 52 black-type winners and 24 Group scorers.

Indigo Lady, a daughter of Derby winner Sir Percy and five-time scorer Seal Indigo, struck in the Listed TRM Silver Stakes at the Curragh for Willie McCreery.

The 11-year-old is a half-sister to the Grade 1-placed chaser Deep Purple and Conquisto, winner of the Grade 2 Old Roan Chase for Brian Ellison.

Indigo Lady has also produced the Listed scorer Indie Angel - a four-time winner for John Gosden and Cheveley Park - plus the winning Camelot filly Expensive Liaison, while her three-year-old Lope De Vega colt was placed on his sole start at two for Andre Fabre.
