Catalogue unveiled for Keeneland's November Breeding Stock Sale
2,159 broodmares and broodmare prospects are among the hips on offer
Keeneland released the catalogue for its November Breeding Stock Sale, with 3,594 horses in the breeding stock and weanling portion now available to view online.
Taking place from November 10-19, the sale includes 2,159 broodmares and broodmare prospects, 1,432 weanlings and three stallions or stallion prospects.
Book 1 will start on Wednesday, November 10 from 1pm local time, with a total of 221 hips offered, while all remaining sessions will begin at 10am. Books 2-5 will take place from November 11-19.
Among the established sires with mares in foal are American Pharoah, Candy Ride, Caravaggio, City Of Light, Constitution, Curlin, Distorted Humor, Flatter, Frosted, Ghostzapper, Gun Runner, Into Mischief, Justify, Kantharos, Kitten’s Joy, Liam’s Map, Maclean’s Music, Medaglia D’Oro, More Than Ready, Munnings, No Nay Never, Not This Time, Nyquist, Omaha Beach and Quality Road.
The catalogue also includes the final mares in foal to Bernardini, Laoban and Malibu Moon, while younger sires include Game Winner, Improbable, Maximum Security, Kentucky Derby winner Country House, Preakness winner War of Will and Belmont winner Tiz The Law.
More than 160 stallions are represented with weanlings, including Army Mule, Bolt D’Oro, City Of Light, Curlin, Distorted Humor, Flatter, Frankel, Ghostzapper, Good Magic, Kitten’s Joy, Mendelssohn, Practical Joke, Quality Road, Speightstown, Street Sense, Tapit and Twirling Candy.
Sires with their first weanlings in the catalogue include champions Mitole and Vino Rosso; Grade 1 winners Audible, Catholic Boy, Omaha Beach, Preservationist, World Of Trouble and Yoshida; Grade 2 winners Catalina Cruiser, Enticed and Maximus Mischief; and Grade 3 winner Demarchelier.
