Selling returns to Prestbury Park on Friday, with the Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale set to commence at 1.30pm.

The boutique auction will see Irish-trained four-year-old point-to-pointers hit the market for the first time this year, and if past editions are any indicator, then there should be plenty of action to look forward to.

The list of illustrious February Sale graduates is headed by Envoi Allen, who was knocked down to Tom Malone for £400,000 in 2018, while Harold Kirk and Willie Mullins gave £290,000 for runaway Chanelle Pharma Novice Hurdle winner Asterion Forlonge during the same renewal.

Some 12 months earlier, the February Sale saw a new record price set for a point-to-pointer when Joe Tizzard and Malone went to £480,000 for the ill-fated Flemenshill.

Tattersalls Cheltenham have, after withdrawals, catalogued 40 lots for the latest edition of the February Sale, including the following five eye-catchers:

Brooksway Fair (Lot 16)

Pedigree B g Mahler - Brook Style (Alderbrook)
Consigned by Ballyboy Stables

The Denis Murphy-trained four-year-old made a winning start to his racing career when sluicing through testing conditions in a Knockmullen House maiden earlier in the month.

Having travelled sweetly under Jamie Codd, Brooksway Fair took over after the last and stayed on strongly to go two lengths clear of Orbys Legend, who will be offered by Ballydaragh Stables later in the sale.

Brooksway Fair is out of Brook Style, an unraced half-sister to the smart performer Like Your Style, and will be making his second appearance at public auction having been signed for at €33,000 at last year's Tattersalls Ireland May Store Sale.

Supreme Jet (20)

B g Jet Away - Pollys Leader (Supreme Leader)
Moulisha Stables

Arctic Tack Stud resident Jet Away got his stallion career off to the best possible start by supplying two first-crop winners within an hour on Saturday, and it was Patrick O'Farrell's Supreme Jet who initiated the brace.

The four-year-old gelding made all to win by three and a half lengths at Oldtown as he comfortably saw off the well-regarded Guardino, who is trained by Denis Murphy and is offered as lot 26 at Cheltenham.

This particular Oldtown maiden has an eye-catching recent roll of honour, having been won by leading Cheltenham Festival fancy Asterion Forlonge two years earlier.

After his victory, O'Farrell said of Supreme Jet: "We knew he was special before Christmas. We ran him at Tipperary in a schooling bumper and he finished beside Apple’s Jade. From then on we just took our time with him, getting him ready."

Supreme Jet is out of an unraced Supreme Leader sister to the smart two-mile hurdler Gatflax, who finished third in the 1998 Supreme Novices' Hurdle.

Velasco (21)

B g Sholokhov - Bilboa (Phantom Breeze)
Cottagefield Stables

This four-year-old can lay claim to being the easiest winner on offer at Cheltenham on Friday, having registered a 40-length victory on debut at Milborne St Andrew for Tom and Sophie Lacey.

Not only was the manner of his victory pleasing on the eye, but he came home in a time fully 17 seconds faster than the other division of the maiden held on the same card.

Velasco is undoubtedly bred to be a smart performer, as he shares his sire with the likes of Don Cossack and Shishkin, and has a notably strong female family too. His dam, Bilboa, won seven races, including the Adonis Juvenile Hurdle, and she also beat Azertyuiop by 21 lengths when winning the Anniversary Novices' Hurdle at Aintree.

She has produced nine winners since retiring to the paddocks, including the black-type performers The West's Awake, Three Wise Men and Enjoy It. Velasco was pinhooked by Tom Lacey for €32,000.

Glenglass (25)

Ch g Ocovango - Funny Times (Silver Patriarch)
Milestone Stables

This strapping four-year-old, from the first crop of Beeches Stud sire Ocovango, created a big impression when he landed a Tallow maiden for Colin Bowe, the man responsible for producing the likes of Envoi Allen, Samcro, Getabird and Western Warhorse.

The official winning distance was a length, but that margin arguably undersells Glenglass's superiority, as the tight track is unlikely to have suited such a sizeable individual, while the clear signs of greenness he displayed suggests there could be any amount of improvement to come.

As well as being an imposing physical model, Glenglass also boasts an appealing pedigree, as he is out of the Listed-winning Funny Times, whose three winning offspring include the Listed-placed pair Flementime and Mrs Hyde. Glenglass joined the Milestone Stables academy having been picked up for €42,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale.

Brandy Love (41)

B f Jet Away - Bambootcha (Saddlers' Hall)
Milestone Stables

This four-year-old daughter of sire of the moment Jet Away looked to have an extremely bright future when winning a Cragmore maiden by eight lengths for champion point-to-point handler Bowe.

Not only was her performance visually impressive, but she was the only filly in the field to boot. Bowe said: "She's smart and Barry [O'Neill, jockey] said she would have gone around again."

Brandy Love is out of the Grade 3-winning hurdler Bambootcha, who shares her pedigree with the likes of Josses Hill, and was signed for by Maria Byrne at €15,000 at the Goffs Land Rover Sale.
