Burkina Faso takes lead role at Arqana's first Pop Up Sale
Anita Wigan signed up the highest-priced of three lots to sell at Arqana's inaugural Pop Up Sale on Wednesday when claiming the well-bred Mukhadram filly Burkina Faso for €185,000.
A winner in France last August, she is more significantly a half-sister to Group 2 winner Angel Power and was offered by Haras de l'Hotellerie in foal to the popular young sire Zarak.
Highflyer Bloodstock bought another of the leading names from the five-strong catalogue. Diamond Boy gelding Impaire Et Passes, a recent winner at Nancy for Yannick Fouin, commanded a €155,000 sum.
The other lot to sell was a breeding right to Belardo, bought by Outsider Bloodstock for €9,500.
