Goffs has announced initial entries for the online sale of stallion breeding rights to be held following the February Sale next Friday, with rights in Darley's established Group-winning sire Profitable and the promising Cloth Of Stars featuring.

Kildangan Stud's Profitable, the winner of the King's Stand Stakes during a successful racing career, has sired two Group 2-winning sprinters from his first two crops in Queen Mary victress Quick Suzy and Prix du Calvados scorer Wed. 

Profitable's yearlings sold for up to 150,000gns in 2022, while he also covered 116 mares that year. He is standing for a fee of €9,000 this year, 

There will also be a breeding right for sale in Haras du Logis-based sire and Prix Ganay winner Cloth Of Stars. A champion older horse in Europe and son of Sea The Stars, he will have his first crop of three-year-olds run this year. 

Among his first winners is the William Haggas-trained Laafi, who took the same Nottingham maiden won by Derby heroes Golden Horn and Adayar at two. 

Cloth Of Star's fee this year is €7,000.

Goffs group chief executive Henry Beeby said: "We are pleased to offer breeding rights to two exceptional young sires via our proven Goffs Online platform. This online sale enhances the extensive offering at next week’s Goffs February Sale and we invite breeders wishing to offer a breeding right to contact any member of the Goffs team."

The sale will be held on GoffsOnline.com and will be open for bidding from 11am to 1pm on February 10. Prospective bidders must register in advance.
