Best Solution, a three-time top-level winner for Godolphin, will take up covering duties at Gestüt Auenquelle next year with his introductory fee set at €6,500 and shares also available.

The five-year-old son of Kodiac has been purchased by a consortium of German studs comprising Auenquelle, Gestüt Brümmerhof, Gestüt Ittlingen and Gestüt Röttgen.

“We're confident that Best Solution offers outstanding value for money on attractive terms and represents an excellent opportunity for breeders,” said Brümmerhof's Gregor Baum.

The Saeed Bin Suroor-trained bay is well known in Germany, as he notched a Group 1 double in the Grosser Preis von Berlin and the Grosser Preis von Baden last year. He also recorded victories in the Princess of Wales's Stakes and Caulfield Cup at four.

Best Solution brings strong two-year-old form to the table, having won the Autumn Stakes and split superstars Waldgeist and Capri when second in the Criterium de Saint-Cloud.

He took the Lingfield Derby Trial and St Simon Stakes and also finished second in the Dallmayr-Preis at three, although he failed to fire in two starts at five this year.

Best Solution was bred by Cecil and Martin McCracken out of the placed Kingmambo mare Al Andalyya, a half-sister to German Listed winner Kosmische and Prix Hocquart runner-up Cape Clear Island.

The dam is out of Kushnarenkovo, a Group 3-placed Sadler's Wells sister to St Leger winner Brian Boru and to the dam of Derby and Arc hero Workforce.

Best Solution is one of four Group 1 winners for Tally-Ho Stud flagship stallion Kodiac, along with Fairyland, Hello Youmzain and Tiggy Wiggy, and one of 25 Pattern scorers by him overall.

He was a 90,000gns purchase by Godolphin at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
