Arqana's October Yearling Sale catalogue released with top sires represented
Yearlings by Dubawi, Frankel, Kingman and Lope De Vega are among the lots
The catalogue for Arqana's October Yearling Sale has been released, with lots by leading sires Dubawi, Frankel, Galileo, Kingman, Le Havre and Siyouni among the 752 yearlings on offer.
Former graduates of the sale have won at the highest level including this year's Prix Jean Romanet scorer Grand Glory and Jebel Hatta victor Lord Glitters. Other Group-race winners include Penja, Policy Of Truth, Cheshire Academy and Molecomb Stakes scorer Armor.
Among the standout lots on offer are Gestüt Ammerland's Roaring Lion colt (Lot 19) out of Prix de Diane and Poule d'Essai des Pouliches heroine Golden Lilac, the Ecurie des Monceaux-consigned Dubawi half-sister (77) to Prix Jean Prat scorer Intellogent, Normandie Breeding's Recorder half-sister (108) to Wonderful Tonight, and the Haras d'Etreham-consigned Kingman half-sister (177) to Pat Eddery Stakes scorer New Science.
Leading European stallions with yearlings include Adlerflug, Australia, Camelot, Dubawi, Frankel, Galileo, Galiway, Invincible Spirit, Kendargent, Kingman, Kodiac, Le Havre, Lope De Vega, No Nay Never, Sea The Moon, Sea The Stars, Showcasing, Siyouni and Wootton Bassett.
Sires with first-crop yearlings include City Of Light, Cloth Of Stars, Cracksman, Expert Eye, Harry Angel, Kessaar, Recoletos, Roaring Lion and Saxon Warrior.
The sale will take place in Deauville from October 18-22 and will be made up of three parts with 232 lots selling on Monday from 11am, 308 selling on Tuesday at 2pm and 211 lots split between the Thursday and Friday from 2pm and 11am respectively.
