Animal Kingdom to be rested from shuttling duties until 2017

Eight-year-old has shuttled between hemispheres for the last three seasons

Dual Group/Grade 1 winner Animal Kingdom will be rested for the southern hemisphere breeding season and remain at Darley's Jonabell Farm in Kentucky rather than shuttle to Arrowfield Stud in New South Wales.

Trained by Graham Motion, the colt won five of his 12 starts with his greatest victories coming in the 2011 Kentucky Derby and 2013 Dubai World Cup, earning prize-money of over £5m.

After finishing down the field in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot, the son of Leroidesanimaux retired to Arrowfield Stud and for the past three seasons has shuttled to Darley's US base.
