The death of Fast Company at Kildangan Stud after a long illness aged only 15 last month was a particularly bitter pill to swallow for connections as he was on the cusp of having his best racecourse representation.

The son of Danehill Dancer, who split New Approach and Raven's Pass when second in the Dewhurst Stakes but never ran thereafter, spent his first five seasons as an inexpensive stallion at Rathasker Stud before crossing the Irish Sea to spend 2016 at Overbury Stud.
