Success breeds success, so the old saying goes. If that rings true for Tweenhills' Havana Gold then 2021 promises to be a fruitful year as his biggest and best-bred crop of juveniles reaches the racecourse.
The son of Teofilo has, of course, already enjoyed his share of triumph, with his early runners propelling him to the leading British-based first-season sire title in 2017. He finished second only to the ill-fated Society Rock by volume of winners among that year's Anglo-Irish freshmen.
His first juveniles included 18 successful sons and daughters in Britain and Ireland, among which were names like Havana Grey, winner of the Molecomb Stakes, Coventry runner-up Headway, Curragh Stakes scorer Treasuring as well as smart performers like Raid and Tabdeed.
