In Sunday's edition of ANZ Bloodstock News, the Darren Weir-trained Voodoo Lad made a much deserved breakthrough at elite level when taking out the Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot yesterday and also became the seventh Group 1 winner for the brilliant sire I Am Invincible and third this year.

His paternal half-brother Invincible Star also went some way to resurrecting a frustrating spring by winning the Starlight Stakes on the first day of the summer.
