HKJC hopeful for end to quarantine stand-off by April as Aloisia chases Group 2
In Wednesday's ANZ Bloodstock News, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is hopeful that restrictions on horse movement between Australia and Hong Kong will be eased before the jurisdiction’s next major international racing fixture in April - a move that could see significantly more Australian and New Zealand-trained horses contest overseas contests.
Elsewhere, co-trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace are hoping high-class mare Aloisia can leave a string of bad performances behind her when she lines up in Saturday’s Group 2 Villiers Stakes at Randwick, while racing is set to make a long-awaited return to Eagle Farm on Saturday week after a series of successful barrier trials and jump-outs.
