I never thought Honeysuckle was any good - and here I am doubting her again
I've a confession to make. I never thought Honeysuckle was any good.
I strongly fancied Moskovite to beat her in a mares' maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse on her first outing for Henry de Bromhead way back in November 2018. Denis Hogan, who both trained and rode Moskovite, got checked and unbalanced on the home turn so I took the 12-length winning margin with a pinch of salt.
Honeysuckle showed up next in a Listed race at Thurles the following month. She beat Sassy Diva by only just over three lengths despite getting a freebie up front. I told you, lads. She's overrated.
