McManus-owned Onefortheroadtom plays leading roll in Burke two-timer

While the famous green and gold silks of champion owner JP McManus took centre stage in Gloucestershire, the Harry Fry-trained Onefortheroadtom proved a worthy support act when landing the 3m handicap chase at the other end of the country.
The seven-year-old’s neck verdict over the rallying Echiquier proved to be a first at the Norfolk track for the Dorset-based Fry.
Winning rider Jonathan Burke said: “His jumping kept me in it all the way and he battled well to win. The tight course was probably not ideal for him but it’s very nice to have a winner in these colours.”
