Corazon Espinado the local hero after scoring on second start in 24 hours

The underlying message from Epsom's open day on Monday was that the once vibrant training centre has turned a corner, just as Corazon Espinado did to win on his second start at his home track inside 24 hours.
Trained across the road from the racecourse, he showed no ill-effects from his previous day's third placing to win the 7f handicap for the Simon Dow stable.
He was a late ride for Harry Bentley, a replacement for the booked jockey Hayley Turner, who missed out due to travel problems.
