'He came out of Newmarket in good fettle and I am very pleased with him'

Charlie Johnston, assistant to Mark Johnston, trainer of Dee Ex Bee, Mildenberger, Austrian School and Hibernicus
The hope is all four will make up into Leger horses. Two are proven at Group level and two will need to improve. Plan A would have been for Mildenberger to run in the Gordon Stakes. He'd had a setback before Royal Ascot and missed the King Edward. It's looking like we are running out of time to get him back for the Gordon Stakes, which is a big shame. With his principal target being the Leger, he's going to be given the time he needs so it might be more Voltigeur, Leger for him. Dee Ex Bee may well get an entry in the Gordon but is unlikely to run unless they get a bit of rain. We'll try to avoid running him on fast ground again before Doncaster.

Tim Easterby, trainer of Wells Farhh Go
All being well he'll go to York for the Great Voltigeur and then to the St Leger. He came out of Newmarket in good fettle and I am very pleased with him.

Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to Khalid Abdullah, owner of Sun Maiden
With Sun Maiden we're aiming for the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday week and that will give us a good idea of where we might be heading and what sort of calibre she might be. She'll be taking on the colts but in terms of timing it suits and, if she can do well there, we'd obviously have to consider the St Leger.
