Paolo Crespi's Societa Agricola di Besnate (SAB) in Italy welcomes two exciting new additions ahead of the 2018 breeding season in Albert Dock, a dual Group 3-winning son of Deep Impact, and Faydhan, a winning son of War Front.

Albert Dock will stand alongside Arcano and Mujahid at SAB-Allevamento di Besnate, where he will be offered to breeders at a fee of €4,000, while Faydhan will join Pounced at SAB-Allevamento di Pierantonio and will stand at a €3,000 fee.

The arrival of Albert Dock at Besnate coincides with the departure of another son of Deep Impact in Danon Ballade, who has been relocated to Batsford Stud in Gloucestershire.

Faydhan was trained by John Gosden for Hamdan Al Maktoum to win a 6f Haydock maiden on debut, surging six lengths clear of the subsequent Group 2 scorer Dutch Connection.

Faydhan finished third on his next start in the Listed European Free Handicap at three, but failed to trouble the judge in two further starts at four.

Bred by Keithshire Farm, Faydhan was the second foal out of the unraced Speightstown mare Agreeable Miss, a daughter of the Grade 2 winner Sweet And Ready. Shadwell picked him up as a yearling for $500,000 at the 2013 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Albert Dock was trained by Hiroyoshi Matsuda and later Naosuke Sugai, who both won with him at Group 3 level.

Bred by Shadai Farm, Albert Dock is out of the US Grade 1-winning miler Golden Doc A, a half-sister to fellow Grade 1 scorer Unusual Suspect.

The top three places in the Italian sires' title were filled by current or former residents of Besnate, in what has been a golden year for the stud.

Mujahid, a 21-year-old son of Danzig, was crowned champion sire in Italy for the sixth consecutive time, in front of former Besnate stablemate Ramonti - sire of the Derby Italiano winner Mac Mahon - and Pounced, the sire of Full Drago, winner of four Group contests in Italy this year.
