Yarmouth Placepot picks: Tom Collins provides a light perm for the Norfolk track

Division one of the mile handicap (1.25) provides a low-key start for Placepot punters. In a race where several horses hold similar claims, topweight Dusty Damsel and three-year-old Little Sunflower are chosen.

The second division (1.55) is slightly easier to decipher. Golden Love, a superbly bred daughter of Dubawi who ran a career-best at Brighton last time, and Arlo's Sunshine, who debuts for Alice Haynes, get the vote.

Jamie Spencer boasts an impressive 24 per cent strike-rate at Yarmouth in the last five years and partners Eve Lodge in the 5f novice (2.30). Her form is far superior to that of her rivals.

The hat-trick-seeking True Courage could safely see you through leg four (3.05), while it could be worth opposing short-priced favourite Tropical Cyclone in the following 1m3½f handicap (3.40) with Modern Beauty.

Chris Wall has an outstanding record with his three-year-olds at this venue and, although Modern Beauty has shown little in novice company, it would be no surprise if he improved a great deal now handicapping. Tropical Cyclone appears one-paced and could prove vulnerable to a speedier opponent.

Finally, it is hard to look away from recent Doncaster and Redcar winner Boltaway in the closing contest (4.15). A 4lb rise for his latest success won't be enough to stop him.
