Windsor Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with his perm for the evening card

The majority of my best bets are at Windsor so I'm keen to concentrate on there for the Placepot. The only worry is the ground as it’s hard to know whether it will be fast, soft or somewhere in between. I’ll try and choose enough horses to cover all angles, just in case.

The opening 1m3½f fillies’ handicap (5.30) is a cracking race and I can’t choose between New Heights and Shamardalah, who are closely matched on last-time-out form at Lingfield.

Income sets the standard in the 5f maiden fillies’ stakes (6.00) and rates banker material.

There is plenty of rain forecast and that might bring Silver Diva into the reckoning in the 5f handicap (6.30). It’s also worth including the lightly raced and unexposed Pretty Shiftwell.

Punchbowl Flyer is suited by easy conditions and should run well in the 6f handicap (7.00).

Maiden Castle will be a confident selection in the 1m2f handicap (7.30) if the rain stays away, but it’s also worth including Jean Baptiste. He acts on soft ground, so is more solid.

Dancing To Win is one of the bets of the day and rates a banker in the mile maiden (8.00).

Any non-runners selected go on to the SP favourite
