BANKER

Dutch Monarch(2.45 Wolverhampton)

Sir Mark Prescott's handicappers are in red-hot form of late and Dutch Monarch, who makes her third start in the sphere, can lose her maiden tag under Ryan Tate. The daughter of Dutch Art isn't a typical handicapper in so far as she has remained over sprint distances but she has clearly improved from her three novice runs and caught the eye the last twice, when recording form figures of 25. She found plenty of trouble in running on her penultimate start and ran into a useful type for the grade, before staying on strongly last time out to take fifth in a much, much better race than this despite being keen throughout. She gets 8lb weight-for-age allowance here and it would shock me if she wasn't good enough to win providing she isn't too keen early on.

EYECATCHER

Cantstoptherock(5.40 Brighton)

This is a very low-grade seller and last year's winner Wild Flower is interesting now back down to a nice mark, but she might just set it up from the front for Olly Murphy's Cantstoptherock, who makes her first start for the yard. The former Michael O'Callaghan inmate showed little promise in six starts in Ireland but was unlucky when checked at a crucial stage on her penultimate start and travelled well for a long way last time before fading late on. The drop in trip is in her favour and Murphy does exceptionally well with his stable debutantes.
