Tom Collins has three banker selections in his Yarmouth Placepot perm
It isn't often that you can formulate a Placepot perm with just eight lines and be pretty confident you will take a share of the final dividend.
However, that is the case at Yarmouth on Wednesday with a number of relatively uncompetitive races featuring in the six qualifying contests. It is pretty certain it won't pay a great deal, so you need to keep the amount of lines to a minimum.
The opening 1m3½f maiden handicap (12.45) is one of the most interesting races on the card, and let's hope we can knock out a few of the runners who will be included in most Placepots.
I like Frankel colt Dream With Me, who wasn't favoured by the tactical nature of a three-runner race last time, and John Gosden's Swift Verdict, who is fitted with first-time blinkers.
Division one of the 0-52 1m2f handicap (1.20) looks there for the taking for Alpine Mistral. Shaun Keightley's runner is able to compete here under a penalty despite the fact she has gone up to a mark of 59 after her easy victory at Ripon last week.
The three-year-olds don't look much cop in division two (1.50), so I'll play safe with proven performers Elsie Violet and My Brother Mike.
Pink Sands (2.20) and Soldier Lions (2.50) will make the frame in their respective 6f novice events barring mishap, while Tony Carroll's Bold Decision and the unexposed Secret Equity can get the job done in the closing 0-50 classified stakes (3.20).
