The Punt Daily: two runners to follow on Monday

GOOD THING

Imaginative(3.40 Leicester)

Roger Varian's team are in flying form lately and he must be confident of getting another winner on the board when Imaginative, a three-race maiden, goes to post for this 1m2f handicap. Undoubtedly well treated, like quite a few of his three-year-olds, Imaginative begins life in handicaps off a lenient mark of 81 and based on how he came home behind subsequent Listed winner Aspetar when last seen at Windsor, there looks to be a lot more improvement in the locker. Held up in the early stages, he stayed on strongly close home to grab third and considering this Leicester contest looks relatively weak, a similar performance should see him land the prize. BANKER

Cassini(8.15 Windsor)

A half-brother to Classic Trial winner Cunco, who ran in the same colours, Cassini has yet to win but his first two starts were full of promise and he can make it third time lucky. Third to Dubhe –who had the London Gold Cup winner Communique behind him on his latest start– on debut, Cassini then ran on encouragingly to be third behind Blue Riband Trial winner Crossed Baton and the 101-rated Stephensons Rocket at Sandown. His form sets the standard, he's had a wind operation and this step up to 1m2f should suit. (Maddy Playle)
