The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Monday
Dalness Express(4.50 Wolverhampton)
Stall 12 will present some problems, but this John O'Shea-trained five-year-old is a rapid improver this year and can follow up his recent Kempton success under Brodie Hampson. The tongue-tie seems to have worked wonders on this gelding and he got off the mark at the tenth attempt five days ago when running away with a low-grade handicap. He was always in control that day and quickened up in fine style when asked. Running under a penalty, I'd make him favourite for Wolverhampton's opener and the opening show of 11-4 seems value.
Finished in behind in three decent turf maidens last summer and autumn before finishing an unlucky second on his all-weather debut at Lingfield just under two weeks ago when well fancied. The Margarson clearly believe he's well handicapped off a mark in the low 70s and he would have won had he not hung right under pressure. It's a slight concern that he might do it again, but he should prove too good for these nonetheless, even with a 3lb rise for his runner-up effort.
