The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Friday

BANKER

Muthhila(4.30 Wolverhampton)

I wouldn't be surprised if Marco Botti's filly bolted up here. She deserves to be odds on - the opening price yesterday of 7-4 was very attractive - given the strength of her novice form and how well she ran on handicap debut last time up at Chelmsford. In what was a competitive contest, Muthhila ran with the choke out early, before having to race wide and challenge four horses deep off the final bend. She still only lost out by a short head to a useful Mark Johnston-trained performer and she's been raised just 2lb for that effort. This is an easier race and she should score off topweight.

GOOD THING

Athassel(4.00 Wolverhampton)

I tipped Dave Evans's nine-year-old to win a couple of starts back when he was beginning to look extremely well handicapped and although he disappointed when finishing just sixth on that occasion, Athassel performed much better when last seen off a 2lb lower mark when dropped down to 7f. Held up as usual from the start, he ran on with plenty of gusto and was only beaten three-quarters of a length come the line. He's gone up 1lb for that run, but he's still incredibly well in on his old form and, provided he gets the gaps now dropped down to 6f, he should win this.
