The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Friday

Ger Lyons: trainer of Blue Uluru
1 of 1

BANKER

Buzz Lightyere(4.40 Brighton)

Philip Hide's five-year-old gelding, who has become a Brighton specialist with all three of his career victories coming at this course last year, looks ready to strike again at the sunny seaside venue following a decent runner-up effort over this distance at the start of last month. Despite breaking slowly, he travelled like the best horse throughout the race and was unlucky not to pass the gallant winner Shifting Star, who held on by a head at the line. That came on good to soft ground and the return to quicker conditions today looks sure to suit.

GOOD THING

Blue Uluru(7.10 Curragh)

Trainer Ger Lyons hinted that Blue Uluru would be up to scoring in Listed or Group companyeither this season or next in a post-race interview after this three-year-old filly scored at Navan last month. Consequently, off just a 7lb higher mark and kept in the handicap sphere, Blue Uluru looks a good bet to follow up under Colin Keane. The daughter of Choisir, who has won three of seven starts, really impressed with her winning burst last time out– readily quickening up when asked– and her ability to stay six furlongs is a big help against other useful sprinters.
