The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow at the Curragh
Aidan O'Brien got Lucius Tiberius, who was beaten miles at Royal Ascot last week, to win at the Curragh on Friday and he can do the same with Yucatan, who trailed home last in the Wolferton Stakes. The former Racing Post Trophy runner-up hasn't hit the heights his connections would have expected him to since, but is well up to winning a weak Group 3 and the application of first-time blinkers can spark him into action.
At the weights, Pallasator should really struggle to beat Aidan O'Brien's pair of Flag Of Honour and Guiseppe Garibaldi but the way he won the Queen Alexandra last week suggested Gordon Elliott has him in prime condition and he can follow up. Ridden by Jamie Spencer at the Royal meeting, Pallasator kicked clear after travelling well and although he showed some of his errant tendencies late home, he never looked like being caught. The dramatic drop back to 1m6f shouldn't be too much of a problem given how much speed he possesses and he's the clear form horse.
